Psychotherapy in Warsaw
At a first glance, it is difficult to say to myself that I need therapeutic help. I feel bad, I am still tired, I have no motivation, situations of everyday life make me a lot of trouble, I feel psychological discomfort, fear, I cannot see the way out, these are just some of the symptoms. A few decades ago, a visit to a psychologist equated with a social label … (?). Today, a visit to a dietitian, physiotherapist and psychotherapist shows that you take care of yourself and do not wait until the problem develops dangerously. “I can do it myself” usually means “I am not aware” or “I am scared”. Treatment of mental disorders is very complex, only very well-prepared specialists are able to cope with them.
The term specifies an approach that uses the knowledge and experience of different therapeutic methods. Integrative therapy is one of the most effective and very dynamically developing ways of treating deep and complicated mental health conditions. Accurate symptomatic and causal diagnosis, adequate therapeutic strategy, proper therapeutic process, adapted to the specifics of the patient’s problem and the personality, it can make the therapy a very effective tool in treatment.
I draw from a number of different perspectives to help individuals look at the causes, influences and potential resolutions for their problems. I bring to the practice years of my university training, research involvement and clinical experience. I have completed my PhD at the University of Huddersfield, UK and postgraduate study in Ireland. I am accredited by IACP (Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and EAC (European Association for Counselling). At the moment, I am a lecturing at PCI College, Dublin.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a short-term and goal oriented approach focused on the effective solution of uncomplicated mental health issues. It derives from psychological tradition and is very effective in the treatment of mild depression, anxiety as well as moderate negative emotional states, well-being, and prolonged mental health problems. CBT is supported by an extensive scientific evidence of its effectiveness and is spreading wide among psychotherapy practitioners.
